Responsibilities:
System Deployment and Configuration:
- Deploy and configure Linux servers, both physical and virtual
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions for mission-critical applications.
Automation and Orchestration:
- Utilize Ansible to automate system provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
- Streamline repetitive tasks, ensuring consistency and efficiency across our infrastructure.
Performance Optimization and Monitoring:
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize Linux servers for peak efficiency.
- Implement monitoring tools and alerts to proactively address issues.
Security and Compliance:
- Harden Linux systems against security threats, including vulnerability assessments and patch management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Disaster Recovery Planning:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems.
- Test and validate recovery procedures to minimize downtime during emergencies.
Training and Support:
- Train and mentor other IT personnel on Linux administration and best practices.
- Provide technical support to resolve Linux-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Linux Engineer or System Administrator.
- Proficiency in Ansible for automation and orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
