Instrumentation & Control Engineers
Overview:
MetroSys is seeking skilled Instrumentation & Control Engineers to support projects involving the design, development, and maintenance of critical control systems in highly regulated environments, including nuclear facilities. This role involves designing, specifying, and integrating instruments and control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of facility processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and specify sensors, transmitters, controllers, and actuators for monitoring and controlling variables such as temperature, pressure, flow, and radiation.
Ensure all instrumentation and control systems comply with applicable nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., NRC, IEEE, ISA).
Develop, configure, and maintain Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
Support control system software programming and logic configuration.
Perform loop tuning, calibration, and testing of control instrumentation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate instrumentation into facility upgrades or new system installations.
Generate and maintain documentation including logic diagrams, system specifications, and test plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in I&C engineering, preferably in the nuclear, energy, or industrial sectors.
Proficiency with major PLC and DCS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, DeltaV).
Strong knowledge of safety systems and regulatory standards (e.g., ISA 84, IEC 61511).
Ability to read and create P&IDs, loop diagrams, and logic diagrams.
